Why LINKS

Dr. Kotler recognized early in her career that patients who struggle with behavioral and psychiatric disorders have difficulty accessing highly skilled, individualized care. Children and adolescents with complex mental health needs are greatly underserved. A relative void exists in this area of medicine. With her many years of experience and professional training, Dr. Kotler created LINKS to fill this void.

Dr. Kotler specializes in diagnosing and caring for children of all ages with complicated behavioral and psychiatric disorders and diagnoses, including depression and social anxiety disorders. Frequently, families are referred to Dr. Kotler after they’ve already completed other evaluations, initiated medications, and have spent time in therapy without success.

Dr. Kotler’s combined knowledge in both pediatrics and behavioral medicine enables her to better recognize and manage comorbid and coexisting medical and developmental conditions that can often contribute to a patient’s behavioral and mental health dysfunction. Dr. Kotler practices evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Kotler’s approach is comprehensive and thorough. She devotes the time and attention her patients require to accurately diagnose and care for every aspect of their behavioral and mental health needs. She partners with her patients and families in their care because she appreciates how important it is for them to fully comprehend their child’s diagnosis, care, and treatment. The more insight parents have, the more they are able to understand and appreciate the benefits and need for treatment.

Dr. Kotler created her concierge, boutique style practice to provide her patients with a sense of continuity and security. They can reach her directly and she promptly responds to her patients’ questions, concerns, problems, or emergencies. Her patients know they aren’t alone in times of need to crisis.

LINKS works collaboratively with your child’s primary pediatrician or family practice doctor, including them and keeping them updated regarding your child’s diagnosis, medications, and progress.
